DLC 2 is finally releasing on February 24th this year and includes 8 new levels which picks up after the events of the base game and Spectrums defeat, after finding out about a secret power which may allow him to return to the mortal realm, Kaz travels to the ancient Frozen Kingdom to gain answers from the Ice King himself. While Kaz is exploring the frozen hell, he meets up with an old friend and battles with a deadly returning foe, Vipers, which made their first appearance back in 2022 in the original Kaz's Adventure video game.
Kaz utilising his new grapple hook tool to traverse the broken halls of this snow filled castle and battles with the Ice King for answers on his power, the ending to this DLC is the last chapter in Kaz's revenge storyline.

Kaz has been a major part of Barlow Games since its beginning and even before then, but now its time for Kaz to take a back seat as we look to develop our future titles. Some may wonder if Kaz will ever return and we can confirm that one day he shall, he may look different but Kaz will return it's just a matter of when.
The ending to this DLC is a fitting end to the story told across all Kaz related games since 2022 but there will always be more stories to tell in this world we have created with or without Kaz being the main focus. The ending is meant to be slightly open ended to allow for future entries when and if we make more.

With this DLC and the release of the free major update (Version 1.3.0), we will stop continuing to provide free major content updates which we have provided for free since late 2024. We will continue to support Kaz's Adventure 2: Lost Souls with free minor updates for the foreseeable future which may sometimes include small additions to pre-existing content although they will mainly be bug fixes and continued maintenance.

First of all, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the development of the Kaz’s Adventure series in any way. From art and sound design to testing and feedback, many talented people came together to make these games possible and to release them for free for everyone to enjoy.
Kaz’s Adventure has become a major part of my life. The original game was the first video game I ever developed and looking back on it, that definitely shows. But through this series, I’ve learned more than I ever expected.
Now, I believe it’s time to move forward and begin developing new titles beyond Kaz’s Adventure.
